My Design Upload Guidelines
You can upload your own SVG (Scalable Vector Graphics) file for laser cutting
To make sure your design works perfectly, please follow these simple rules:
1. File Type
- Only SVG files are accepted.
- Keep your file size under 50KB for best results.
- Avoid hidden or extra shapes in your file.
2. Closed Shapes
- All shapes must be fully closed (no open lines or gaps).
- Each path should form a complete loop- open paths won’t cut correctly.
3. Color Rules
- White-filled areas (no stroke) = parts that will be cut out.
- Other colors = solid parts that will stay.
- Compound shapes (like shapes within shapes) will cut the inner parts automatically.
4. Connected Parts
- Make sure all parts of your design are connected to the main shape.
- Avoid small floating pieces - they will fall out once cut.
5. Simple Path Complexity
- Keep paths simple and clean
- Avoid overly complex curves with excessive anchor points
- Minimize file size by reducing path complexity
- Use smooth, efficient curves rather than jagged detail
6. Design for Strength
- Minimum shape width: 2mm
- Minimum gaps/bridges: 1mm
- Make sure details are wider than the material thickness to prevent breakage.
- Remember to allow for laser kerf (the small amount the laser removes when cutting).
7. Text and Images
- Convert all text to outlines or paths before saving.
- Remove any raster images (like JPGs or PNGs).
- Only vector elements will be cut.

Simply put, laser cutting is a process that uses a laser beam to cut into different materials. We use laser cutting to cut out personalised name tags and intricate design shapes and blanks in precious metals including 9ct and 18ct yellow, white and red, gold, sterling silver and platinum.
We offer 8 different precious metals, including 9ct and 18ct gold in red, yellow and white, sterling silver, platinum. If you choose gold or silver for your designs these will be made from 100% recycled precious metals.
