Different Types of Measuring Tools
Vernier Gauge – We stock a variety of vernier gauges. Digital vernier gauges are fitted with an LCD screen and offer a clear reading with a true mm / inch conversion. Standard steel slide vernier gauges provide four types of reading in metric and imperial. When using a vernier gauge, objects should be placed between the jaws which should then be shut to hold the object tight. Vernier gauges are a great way to get accurate internal, external, height and depth measurements.
Scales – We stock a range of jewellery gauges from leading industry brands. These compact weighing scales are highly accurate and can measure grams, pennyweights, grain and carats.
Scriber Tools / Rulers – Scriber tools and rulers are designed to work together. When paired together, rulers will be able to help you measure in inches, cm and mm and scribers can then be used to mark your metal at a specific point measured by your ruler. These tools are used to mark out a specific point before drilling, saw piercing and engraving.
