What is a Jewellers Loupe?
A jeweller’s loupe is a small magnifying device that is primarily used to inspect fine details in jewellery and is a great supporting tool when working on intricate details, examining and setting gemstones and even within watchmaking. Unlike standard magnifying glasses, loupes are designed more for close up, high quality viewing. The loupes and magnifiers in our range offer up to 20x magnification, ideal for the most detailed view.
Our range of loupes are available in a variety of colours and offer up to twenty times magnification which is perfect for all jewellery makers. All of the loupes we supply come in a handy case and are fitted with a finished metal casing which acts as the holding piece. All of our loupes provide a perfect, clear image.
For more detailed viewing we also stock, a range of optivisors. These are easy to use, over the head magnifiers that offer comfort and hands-free, high-quality magnification. Optivisors are generally suitable for longer and more time consuming tasks including engraving and setting stones. All of our optivisors are fitted with adjustable lenses to allow for different levels of magnification.
For more professional grade magnifying we also stock LED headband magnifiers which offer the same, hands free comfort and magnification but include five lenses with biplate magnification and a built in LED spotlight for enhanced accuracy.
