Beeswax for Jewellery Workshops
Our cube of Beeswax weighs in at 32g or 1oz and is available in block form, as a lubricant. Use it on saw blades when piercing metal. It’ll help the blade glide gently through the metal and assist in the prevention of 'sticking'. Our Beeswax is an absolute must for saw blades and drill bits and great for conditioning nylon threads, lubricating flyers on spinning wheels, and for using with parchment craft tools, too. It also gives a beautiful finish to wooden handles or use melted and apply with a wool buffing wheel to get a glass like finish to a knife handle.
Bench Pegs
Also known as the 'Bench Pin', our wooden bench peg is wedge shaped and has both a horizontal and slanted surface. The slanted surface is uppermost when the peg is set securely into the centre of the semi-circle of the bench. To prepare the peg: an upside down 'V' should be cut from the centre third extending about a third of the way back - this produces a good support either side of the metal when piercing.
