July's DOTM Winner: The Silversmith Cat
The judges chose this piece because they loved how Judit used the Gold Alternative theme to make something inspired by something she saw in the garden. Plus the detail and overall look of the piece is simply beautiful!
Judit said the following about the piece, "When I was relaxing in the garden, my cat was playing with a butterfly. And when the butterfly rested on a branch, I thought since I can't paint, I'll make this moment into a piece of jewellery :) I made this piece sterling silver, copper, brass and 2 moon stones. I patinated it to highlight the small details."
