June's DOTM Winner: Handmade Enchantment

The judges chose this piece because it delivered a sophisticated and considered interpretation of the Zodiac theme. Rather than taking a broad celestial approach, the maker focused on the Cancer sign and translated it into a wearable design with real attention to detail. The engraved crab motif is instantly recognisable yet understated, creating a piece that feels both personal and timeless. Combined with strong craftsmanship and thoughtful presentation, these cufflinks stood out for their originality, execution and elegant interpretation of the brief.

Rebecca said the following about the piece:
"I used sterling silver casting grain and an impression die to create the crab design. I then soldered on earring posts and used patina to emphasise the crab zodiac. Then it was time to polish and buff!"
