Art Clay Silver from Cooksongold

Art Clay Silver can be rolled, sculpted, moulded or textured with a variety of metal art clay stamps and cutters. This precious metal art clay looks and feels like ordinary clay but has fine particles of pure silver mixed with organic binders and water. When fired at the correct temperature, the organic binders and water dissipate, leaving a pure, fine silver art clay piece that can be hallmarked as silver.

Types of Art Clay Silver at Cooksongold

At Cooksongold, there’s a great range of types of silver art clay on offer, including art clay, precious metal art clay paste, and syringes.

Silver Art Clay

Art Clay Silver can be modelled in the same way as any other water-based clay. Once open, it must be kept moist to preserve its workability.

Art Clay Silver Paste

Paste Art Clay Silver has a cream-like consistency and can be used to join two pieces of dry or wet clay together, as a gap filler for pits and cracks that appear in dried pieces, or to attach silver findings to wet or dried clay pieces.

Precious metal art clay paste can also be applied in separate layers onto leaves and dried flowers to mould a perfect impression of the form – allowing you to create perfectly intricate, detailed jewellery.

We also sell overlay Art Clay Silver paste which can be used to bond glazed surfaces such as ceramic, porcelain, and glass. Our range also includes Art Clay Silver oil paste which can be used between fired or pure silver pieces to form a solid bond.

Art Clay Silver Syringe

Art Clay Silver syringes come packaged in three ways, with three colour-coded tips, each of which has an increasingly larger diameter. Syringe type precious metal art clay is thicker, giving the user more control. These properties make the Art Clay Silver syringe type perfect for adding detail to pieces and decorating designs, or to attach findings to wet or dry clay.
