Delivery methods We use fast and cost effective methods to ensure efficient and safe delivery of your order. We constantly review our carriers, and our delivery rates to ensure we offer a great delivery service at a competitive price.
All our items are despatched by a network of carriers including amongst others, Royal Mail and DHL.
We will do our best to despatch your order the same day, we are currently despatching 97% of all orders same day.
If you want to track your parcel, please use the tracking reference from your E-despatch notification that has been emailed to you. Please note that our trackable services are Royal Mail Special Delivery, TNT, FedEx and DHL. Parcels that are sent First Class Post and Recorded Delivery cannot be tracked. When will my order be despatched? We are now able to offer same day despatch for orders placed up to 6pm GMT. Please note that this will only apply to orders to UK addresses where the selected delivery method is DPD or TNT Next Day by 6pm*. For orders via other delivery options or to addresses outside the UK – we offer same day despatch on orders placed up to 5pm GMT.
*excludes TNT Saturday Service on orders placed between 5pm and 6pm on Fridays. Please note some delivery options may not be available due to the contents, value or weight of the items in your basket.

If you are looking to order hazardous goods, please note that some carriers will not take these. If you want to purchase hazardous goods, please email your query to email@example.com. We will then be able to advise if this item can be sent to your country.
Any customs or import duties are charged once the order reaches it's destination country and must be paid by the recipient of the order. We have no control over these charges, take no responsibility for them and cannot predict what they may be.

How do I return items? Please complete the returns form here following the simple procedure.
If you are returning an item and you request for another product, then please be aware that a credit will be raised on the returned product. A new order will then be raised for the new product. If you pay for your orders using a credit or debit card, then we will contact you for payment.

Goods returned for credit that were correctly supplied, or cut to your requirements i.e. sheet, wire, chain, etc, may be subject to a handling charge.

Cooksongold Returns Policy At Cookson Gold, we are committed to selling high-quality products that we hope you enjoy using and working with, but we also know that for one reason or another there may be a time where you will need to return or exchange something that you have bought from us. What we recommend you to do initially when receiving your goods is to check them carefully before using them.

Returned goods will be credited if returned in their original condition, and with a completed Returns Form. For special order items, such as bespoke cut bullion, please see below.
Goods accepted for return will be credited at the price on the date of invoice.
We will only refund return postage for goods not required if returned in less than 30 days. If the prepaid postage option is used and the return is over 30 days, we will deduct the cost from your refund. If you are returning an item due to a fault of ours, we will always refund postage charges but would ask that we choose the postage method.
If you request a refund, this will be normally processed within one working week.
Exchanging an item If you are returning an item within 30 days and would like an exchange, then please be aware that a credit will be raised on the returned item. A new order will then be raised for the new product. If you pay for your orders using a credit or debit card, then we will contact you for payment. If you request an exchange, as the item was received faulty, then this is normally processed within one working week.

Cancelling an order within 30 days
You may cancel stocked orders by giving us notice of cancellation within 30 days of the date of ordering, for manufactured orders please contact us. Such notice may be given by mail, fax or email (all contact details can be found at the bottom of this page). If you are cancelling because of a problem with the goods, please notify us of the problem at the time of cancellation by calling us on 0345 100 1122.
Special order items
We regret to advise that some special order items including some cut bullion will not be accepted for return. Please call us on 0345 100 1122 to discuss this further.
Item sent incorrectly
If items have been sent incorrectly, please can you contact our customer service team on either
0345 100 1122 or email at firstname.lastname@example.org. We will then advise on the next step to take and endeavour for the correct item to be dispatched the same day you notify us.
Item is faulty or has developed a fault For items that have been received faulty/ developed a fault, in the first instance, please can you contact our customer service team on either 0345 100 1122 or email email@example.com. We will then advise the next steps you need to take. This will depend on the item and when this was purchased as it may have to go back to our supplier for testing.
Return of items more than 30 days old If you want to return items that were bought more than 30 days ago, we may still accept the item but there may be an administrative charge and exclusions do apply, e.g. if the bullion has been cut to some requirements. Unfortunately I bought this item after I left University and have only now started using it. I have found it incredibly frustrating. To start, the lid is very hard to get on and off, although I have filled it with hot water first to soften it, I have still pinched my finger a couple of times. Then the barrel leaks water so you end up with a small pool of water under the machine. And lastly, the main problem I’m having it to actually get the barrel to spin around! I find myself standing there trying to get it to catch onto the rubber wheels to then start spinning. I have tried moreless water and shot but still no luck. All in all I’m really dissapointed with it, especially for the money. It’s simply a basic motor with a bit of plastic tube, reading the other reviews I seem to be outnumbered so if anyone has any advice I would be very great ful, thanks.

I started renting a small stall to start my small jewellery business, I made my silver at home and needed to clean and polish my work for to sell at the stall. I attend a weekly jewellery class at a local college but it was not convenient to do my own work there. I was wondering if I should buy a Barrelling machine from Cooksongold, I didn't know if I should spend the money on this machine or spend the money on some other tools, after thinking long and hard I decided to purchase it, up to now I have no regrets - I use it to polish all my work. The results is great, the silver is shine and clean. IT IS ONE OF THE BEST INVESTMENTS I HAVE EVER BOUGHT!!One advice is the lids it is very hard to put on, so best to fill the lid with hot water for a minute so that the lids are not so hard. Apart from that I am really happy with it and the funnies thing is, I don't mind the sound the barreling machine makes, in fact I find it very Soothing hearing it!

Love this machine, has saved me so much time and polishes all the hard to reach areas. You do need to make sure that when you are closing the lid that you let all the air out because if you don't I have found that it does not turn on the rollers. Once you get the hang of this it is a fantastic wee machine.

I bought this small barrel in Cooksons sale I have used larger barrels at work I needed the convenience of a barrel at home, they are a must have tool and they save hours of work,two points about this model, keep the load small,make sure,when starting it, the outside of the barrel,and the drive rollers are dry, otherwise it will slip, not rotate, also place the lid in hand warm water,much easier to get on,

Saved the best-for-last when fitting out my workshop. I had to wait for a Sale price so I could spend the money I saved on 1kg of stainless steel shot. It's not big and it is a bit noisy, but I can't make myself care about that. Like a child opening a Christmas stocking, I get all excited everytime I remove the lid. It's like a magical Lucky Dip that turns yesterday's work into today's pride and joy. My sink is by a sunny window, so I spend a little too long admiring my lovey shining pieces. It renews my thrill in silverwork and inspires me anew each morning.
