Cookson recycled gold has been recycled back via a traceable process into fine gold. The feed material for it comes in the form of scrap from market sectors such as the jewellery, giftware, medical and electronics industries.
When you buy recycled gold from Cookson Precious Metals you're purchasing a 100% recycled gold with none of the associated human or environmental problems that can sometimes be associated with mining. You're also buying gold whose origins will appeal to your customers - in an increasingly eco-aware marketplace.
Prices for precious metal products are an estimate only and can vary slightly depending upon the metal price, the actual weight and the cutting tolerances which we are able to achieve.

I use these polishing disks on all my jewellery but I have found that the screws don't grip the disks and they usually slip. I have now started super gluing them in place which wastes the mandrel when the disks need replacing. Please ask the supplier to look at the quality of the screw threads.
Cooksongold replies : Dear Mrs Johnson, Thank you for your review, your feedback is really important to us. I am sorry to hear of the experience you have had with the Radial Disc Kit. I will pass your comments on to our Supplier. Kind Regards, Emma

I bought these after reading the awesome reviews, however I was rather disappointed. The screws didn't fit properly into the metal bit, so only 1 of the 3 supplied was usable.I also found them to scratch the silver I was using, even the light bluegreen one which is meant to be the polishing one. Very fine wet and dry, followed by a polishing buff and rouge is way better.

The great thing about these discs is that you can get a great finish on intricate items, but without any greasy polish or rouge. After I have polished an item and ultrasonic cleaned it, if I spot a small area Ive missed, its easier to touch up with a fine disc, than to re-polish and clean.Note that a couple of different manufacturers make these and they all use different colour combinations, so check the grade. A range of three grades is best, a coarse for removing oxides, a medium for pre finishing and a fine for a nice final polish. Use individually to get into corners or stacked for quicker polishing of flat surfaces. Tip- alternate at 90 degrees, to remove tiny scratches. Brilliant !

Can't stress how useful these are, make polishing SO much easier. Would recommend getting most,if not all, of the colours of the disks to achieve a mirror finish.

One of the most effective and cleanest abrasives around and this is the cheapest way I've found to buy them. I just wish the full range of separate colours were available, and as good value - I end up with dozens of spare mandrels which seems such a waste.
