With a hardness of 8 on the Mohs scale, topaz stones are incredibly durable and not easily damaged. Despite this, it is still advised that appropriate care is taken. Topaz tones should be cleaned only with soapy warm water and not be placed in an ultrasonic cleaner. It is advised that chemicals are not used on any stones.
