If you’re looking for a product that will help you express your creativity in your jewellery designs, Art Clay Silver is ideal for you. Making jewellery from home has never been easier, giving you the ability to create clay silver pieces with ease.
Art Clay Silver can be rolled, sculpted, moulded or textured with a variety of stamps. This particular precious metal clay looks and feels like ordinary clay, but has fine particles of pure silver, mixed with organic binders and water. When fired at the proper temperature, the organic binders and water dissipate, leaving a pure silver piece that can be hallmarked as silver. New Art Clay Silver Formula is non-toxic and easy to use. It has better workability, a longer working time, and retains and accepts moisture easier than existing clay types, keeping it supple and easier to re-form. You can find silver metal clay in many forms at Cooksongold. We offer a variety of packet sizes of Art Clay Silver clay including 7, 10, 20 and 50mg and, with paste form in sizes 10 and 20mg.
Art Clay Silver can be modelled in the same way as any other water-based clay. Once open, it must be kept moist in order to preserve its workability.
Paste type silver clay is cream-like, and has the ability to be used to join two pieces of dry or wet clay together, as a gap filler for pits and cracks that appear in dried pieces, or used to attach silver findings to wet or dried clay pieces.
Paste type silver metal clay can also be applied in separate layers onto leaves and dried flowers to create a perfect impression of the form.
We also sell Overlay Silver Paste which can be used to bond glazed surfaces such as ceramic, porcelain, and glass and Art Clay Oil Paste, an oil-based paste which can be used between fired or pure silver pieces to form a solid bond.
Syringe type Art Clay Silver comes packaged in three ways, with three colour-coded tips, each of which having an increasingly larger diameter. Syringe type silver metal clay is thicker giving the user more control. These properties make the syringe type art clay perfect for adding detail to pieces and decorating designs, or to attach findings to wet or dry clay.
