Please note due to the hazardous nature of this product we can only despatch via courier. Pickle powder is mixed with water and salt to form a solution which has a Sodium BiSulpate base. Pickling is recommended after heat treatment / soldering to remove surface fire stain. Pickle powder should be used warm. Manufacturer's instructions should be followed when using Pickle powder (see our data sheet). Avoid contact with: Skin - will cause irritation. Clothing - will damage upon contact. When placing objects in and out of solution always ensure the use of either plastic or brass tongs / tweezers. Other materials are stripped and a deposit (usually copper) is left on any article in the solution. Binding wire should also be removed as this will cause the same effect. If this happens solution should be replaced. For Gold and Silver Oxide Removal use 50gms per one litre at 30-80 °C as required. Please add pickle to water not water to pickle. to dispose of pickle powder use soda ash or dilute with lots of water and pour down the sink mix 50gms per litre use between 30 & 80 degrees centigrade to dispose of pickle powder use soda ash or dilute with lots of water and pour down the sink. I bought my tub of pickling powder years ago, and it is still going strong... I raided the kitchen drawers for a filter coffee measuring spoon, and use old fondue set to warm the pickle through...

Its much easier and less intimidating making up pickle with a powder rather than liquid acid.. However - although this is a good product, it would really be useful to have some sort of measuring spoon or cup with the product - or to have the measurement guide written with more simplicity.. I dont have a scale that I use and I wouldnt want to use it for acid - so I would have been much happier if there was some sort of guide, for example - 10 cups of water to 2 cups of pickle powder, or 102 ratio.. Something that would make it easier to just measure the water in and then know how much pickle powder to put in. On the tub it has a guide saying 1litre of water to 40grams of pickle or something like that I dont know what 40grams looks like and I am mathematically challenged - so working out smaller quantities defeats meCooksons - if it is possible to do so, can you add a simpler ratio measurement to this product Or provide a fact sheet or something That would be great

This pot has more than you will ever need, well worth its money, would be nice if it had a measuring spooncup.
