Red Garnet Gemstones for Bold Jewellery Design

The name Garnet is derived from the Latin for dark-red ‘granatum’. For hundreds of years Egyptians wore them, not only to adorn themselves but for protective powers. A garnet necklace was worn because it was thought to cure fevers and act as a good luck talisman for the wearer. Garnets are highly durable gemstones and adaptable too, making them the perfect choice for large, bold garnet jewellery designs. We have them available in all cuts, from oval and round, to square and pear dropped. Our larger 6mm x 4mm garnet gemstone comes in emerald and octagonal cuts. Take a look at our emerald and octagonal cut stones to begin making statement garnet jewellery designs such as garnet earrings. Search our Facebook pages for more hints on making jewellery with garnets. If you would like more advice you can always call customers services on 0345 100 1122.
