If you’re a beginner jewellery maker, working with resin is such a fun way to get creative. Once you’ve grasped the basics and understand how to mix your resin then there are no limits to what you can make. The beauty of resin is that you can, pretty much set anything and everything in it, as long as it is a dry material, you can make a piece of jewellery (or anything else) with resin.

Starting off can be daunting so if you’re still learning how to mix resin why not try one of our simplest resin projects – our resin daisy stud earrings. Using ready made stud earrings and just a bit of resin will give you a great result.

Place the stud earrings in the acrylic block and make sure the stud earrings are clean and free from grease

Mix the resin and hardener following the instructions. Weighing the resin can ensure accuracy.

Add a little resin to the flower studs and spread it to fill the space.

Add middles using beads or cured coloured resin blobs. Using tweezers can help accuracy. Leave the resin to cure for 24 hours.

It’s really that simple! Such a fun and exciting way to work with resin and a great for beginners who are just practicing their skills. Why not give it a try?

Save this for later
