How to Make Personalised Rings
Stamp Your Personalised Ring Blank
Step 1
Place your ring blank on a stamping block, making sure the stamping block is on a hard, sturdy surface. Secure the blank to the block using tape or a stamp guide to stop the blank from moving while stamping.
Step 2
Use a straight stamp guide to evenly space out letters and align the message you want to stamp onto the ring.
Step 3
Hold your desired stamp flush, and firmly at a 90-degree angle on the stamping blank. If the stamp has an ImpressArt logo, make sure it is facing you, so the impression is stamped in the correct direction.
Step 4
Strike the stamp once with the hammer using medium force. Repeat to complete your desired stamped word, message, or quote, then remove the stamp guide.
Tip: harder metals and stamps with more detail require a harder strike than softer metals and stamps with less detail.
Step 5
Highlight the impression using the stamping enamel marker, wait 1-3 minutes then wipe away excess.
Shaping Your Personalised Ring
Step 6
For standard rings: using the ring bending pliers, match the curvature of the nylon jaws to the desired curvature of the ring. Starting at the end of the ring blank, squeeze the pliers to begin forming, then continue to squeeze and release the pliers towards the opposite end until your ring is perfectly round.
Step 7
For wrap rings: using the ring bending pliers, match the curvature of the nylon jaws to the desired curvature of the ring. Starting at the end of the ring blank, squeeze the pliers to begin forming, then continue to squeeze and release the pliers towards the opposite end until the two sides meet. Laterally pull the two sides of the blank slightly apart, then continue forming until ring is perfectly round.
