Ideal for soldering, this 24 gauge (0.56mm) Iron Binding Wire is used to help join two pieces of metal. Iron will copper plate other metals when present in a pickling solution, the wire should be removed from the article before placing it in the pickle bath. Metal expansion occurs when heated; if the wire is too tight or thick, it can mark the metal. Please note, this iron binding wire is zinc plated, and not recommended for use with enamels.
