This Vallorbe Escapement File is made in Switzerland, it is 55mm long, it has a rounded cut 6 surface. Always begin with the largest and coarsest file, bearing in mind the job at hand, and work through to the finest. The coarser the file the more metal is removed therefore cut 2 is the most commonly used one and 1/2 round, round, flat and safety back are the most common shapes. This product is often accompanied by a File Handle (999 488).

This is my favourite file. It's great for getting into tiny pierced areas and leaves a nice finish.

I could not manage without this tiny file, it goes where no others will and leaves so smooth a finish it makes it so easy to polish. I would give this one ten stars

This is an amazing little file, it gets into the smallest spaces and files with an even, smooth edge. Perfect for shaping and finishing curves and for those places other files just wont reach. You need to take care that the very fine tip doesnt get chipped with your other tools. I use this all the time. It is also ideal for silver clay work.
