A simple design to showcase your beautiful gemstones in an easy to wear wire ring.
Step 1:
How to Make the Ring Band.
Cut approx. 120mm length of wire and select your gemstone.

Step 2:
Wrap the wire around the ring mandrel as shown so that you have approx. 40mm on one side in readiness to add the gemstone.
(Note: wrap around the mandrel a half size larger than you want as when you wrap later this will reduce in size slightly)

Step 3:
Make an approx. 45° bend in both wires as shown with the shorter wire on top.

Step 4:
Wrap the shorter wire around the longer wire twice inside the ring band as shown, cut off excess and using flat nose pliers press the wire end in so there are no sharp edges.
(Note: be careful not to put too much tension on this wrap, check your ring size at this point)

Step 5:
How to Add the Gemstone and Finish Off.
Add the gemstone to the wire.

Step 6:
Making sure the gemstone stays in place close to the ring band pull the wire around to create a curve as shown.

Step 7:
Bring the wire over the ring band and wrap around.

Step 8:
Cut the wire leaving enough excess to reach around the ring band and meet itself, using flat nose pliers press the wires in place so there are no sharp edges.

Step 9:
Your beautiful gemstone ring is now ready to wear.
