Create these beautiful star drop earrings to wear, gift or sell, with our easy step-by-step tutorial. Learn how to make drop earrings with stars below.
Step 1: Mark out the stars
Print out or draw four different sizes of stars (two of each size) and cut out with scissors. Place some double-sided tape on the 0.7mm silver sheet and stick the stars on it – these will be your stencils.

Step 2: Cut out the stars
Cut out the stars from the silver sheet with a grade 3/0 saw blade.

Step 3: Prepare
File away the sharp edges with a three square file and some different grades of emery paper.

Step 4: Create the domes
Use a doming block and punch set to form the blanks into domes. You may need to anneal the blanks first to
soften them before forming. Form the domes into equal sizes.

Step 5: Solder the stars
Place some flux on one side of the star and on the dome, and strip on a tiny pallion of medium solder. Place a few pieces of medium solder between the dome and the star and on a soldering board. Gently heat the piece until the solder flows. If the solder moves, you can push it back with a soldering pick. Put the star drop earrings into the pickle and, once cleaned, repeat it with the rest of the stars.
