A Claddagh Ring is an traditional Irish ring that represents love, friendship and loyalty. The crown represents loyalty, the heart represents love and the hands represent friendship. There are designs and customs that are associated with this ring, that originates from Galway. In this blog we detail those customs.

If you are single:

Wear your ring on the ring finger of your right hand with the heart facing outwards to show that you are single and looking for love.

If you are in a relationship but not engaged or married:

Wear your ring on your right hand with the heart facing towards you to show that you are in a relationship and your heart is taken.

If you are engaged:

Wear your ring on your left hand with the heart facing outwards if you are engaged to be married. Some people choose to let their Claddagh act as their engagement ring.

If you are married:

Wear your ring on your left hand with the heart facing towards to show you are happily married.
