    Default Peace at last!

The 100 years war is over, and I won - sort of. I had this piece that just wouldn’t go right, so I kept sending it to the corner of the room to face the wall for a bit while I ignored it, before gathering strength for the next time we did battle. Some of you might remember it, I said i’d post a pic when it was finished, and yesterday went distinctly pear shaped - and I couldn’t be more happy about it. I’ve lost count of the number of pear shaped bezels I failed to get right, and broken 2 peridots while failing to set them into the bezels I did get right, and I know it’s far from perfect, but here it is - finally!

Thank goodness it’s finally over, if not very neat.

You learn the most from things that frustrate. Well worth it too as I love your design!

Lovely piece, it's a relief when something works out in the end and you must be really pleased.

Thank you everyone for all your kind words. I must admit I felt so chuffed when it finally went right. I think the most useful thing I learned was not to be so heavy handed with the bezel pusher! All the same, it might be a while before I fancy tackling my next pear shaped stone though
