Computer problems

I dont know if anyone can help me or if I have got it all wrong. When I go into either "Todays Posts" or "New Posts" if I have read those particular ones there is a line above that says "there are no new posts", but when I look on the column on the right that says "latest posts" it gives me just a couple of lines of the new threads posted. I read the last one that Dennis answered about the copper that Nick was going to solder and he said that silver can sometimes be decorative on copper, but missed the last bit with the picture that was put on yesterday of the finished ball, because it came up in the Latest Posts bit, not the todays posts or new posts bit. Have I got something set up wrong, because I am sure that I miss some items because of this.
