Thank you all for your kind words.
That one is much thicker than I used Jules. Although they do not quote the thickness, mine was only 0.3mm thick, so probably more like this:

Anyhow, as I said above, if It is too thick, you can still split the layers with a craft knife. Dennis.
Thanks for that Dennis, I've just ordered some.
xx

How do you repair microwaves with it, sorry lost the plot now.
Oh glad you told me that, doesn't mean a lot really I'm afraid, but thanks anyway.
Beautiful bangle, I love the gold 4 leafed clover Can I just ask - is this the mica that you mention? I think I would find it useful!

Yes that looks right, Claire. It comes as two sheets about 0.3mm thick and has many uses, such as:
Raising a part when soldering on a block.
Covering a part to protect it against flames.
Separating two parts to stop them being soldered together.
It survives the flame and can be re-used, so you will probably have enough for life.
However if you are throwing out anything with a heating element, there will be lots free inside. Dennis
Fab, thanks, I've just ordered some
Hi Dennis,
Absolutely beautiful piece, it is so delicate. I'd never be able to control the soldering spike on something like that!
May I ask if this is the Mica you were talking about?
