I think also if you are older, and have the spare time you will willingly learn. Not like a lot of kids who have to stay in education until 18! I learned in the university of life and by being...

I recently searched for new home Insurance and came across RIAS over 50's.I phoned them and discussed my gas bottle in my conservatory (13kg propane) as if there was a problem I wouldn't be covered....
Red floor tiles in my conservatory.
What does beard jewellery look like? I use delft clay for casting but it only works for moulds that are split in two halves.
The workshop is now getting cold as it is in the conservatory!
Unusual, beautiful. I also love the wavy edges. I recently made a reticulated pendant with silver balls and an agate cab. Did the reticulation on sterling then read instructions about how to do it...

When i was at college I made a scorer, and it is the easiest way to make nicely folded corners. I also used silver steel for the scorer, it still works after 35 years and yes solder the joints.
Don't you just hate that. Also don't get stubborn- I have before and restart! really annoying.
All lovely. i have found via trial and error that bezels are easier in fine silver and I use a blunt file to smooth the bezels off also a rod of hard steel ground and polished to a round point is...
Thats quite brilliant, lovely.
Yes the planished ring is silver with the 9ct band held in with doming the sides of the silver ring. Takes a bit of getting used to and might change it to a flat ring with the gold as a band in the...
My Workbench after 3 1/2 years, a first picture was put on this thread in April 2012. I still make some stuff at home on this bench as I am still off work having just had a further back procedure...
I decided to make myself a planished and 9ct Spinner Ring for my little finger. The gold was formed from my late fathers ring which had a completely dull scratched tigers eye in it. He worked as a...
Very nice like it a lot.
They are lovely, but I would personally, like Dennis, make them smaller and not so long so covering less of the stones. It is amazing how short you can make claws and still hold the stones securely....
