As many of you are aware the little calico wheels most used for Tripoli, often fling bits everywhere. This is where these solid felt mops come in. They are stiff enough for a great 1st stag polish with Tripoli. Also they are wider than the calico mops and so work much more efficiently, keeping their shape. No bits flying off and last almost indefinitely. Ive tried everything and finally settled on these.Clean the work and follow up with rouge on the little wool mop for a great finish.Advice. These felt wheels are mounted. Get these! Avoid the unmounted discs with the screw mandrel they never work as the felt isnt strong enough to support the screw. These pre mounted ones are much better AND they can be used in reverse too unlike the screw mounted ones. So this means that you can rotate the wheel away from you if using a flexi shaft, a great safety bonus when you dont want to get covered in polish, or perhaps youre left handed.
