A must-have! I'm very satisfied with this board. The heat loss is minimal, and I'm sure this one will serve me for a long time.

For those of you who are interested in whether you can use the honeycomb as a grid to control dimensions of your project - here are some detailsThe honeycomb is a very regular hexagonal grid of holes each 1.25 mm in diameter and 1.85 mm apart. The honeycomb extends close to the edges of the board but is not exposed, even on this small board so its not broken out of a larger piece. One main surface of the board is flat apart from the honeycomb holes but in the other are undulating ridges in a square grid 6.5 mm in either direction, so your work will sit on even less of the honeycomb surface of the block. This will mean even less heat loss into the block from a large sheet of metal. All in all Im very impressed with the quality of this board.

We have all done it spent ages setting up a job for soldering only for the borax to bubble and the sections to move. With this block and dress making pins placed in the holes items can be fix into place with ease. Saving time and reducing frustration.
