Ive had my block for over a year now and its given excellent service. It reflects heat well onto the item being soldered while protecting my bench top. Only now, after a year of hard use, using both propane and oxy propane torches, is the top surface showing signs of wear. Turning it over should give me another 12 months serviceable use. All in all real value for money.
