Mr

If there was a zero I would have given it that. Maybe fine if you are a hobbyist and have time to leave it for a day but otherwise don't bother.Great that it's environmently friendly, but that's about the only good thing about it

works a treat!

Definately works best if you leave it overnight! also I make a small amount up and keep it in a glass jar with a lid, I re-heat it in the microwave when I need it and I then re-use it several times.

Works just fine

As I work at my house and have a son and 3 cats I am always a bit wary of having a bowl of acid in the kitchen. Bearing that in mind I tried this and it works fine, I use in a perspex bowl over a pan of water on the hob and it works great, its ineffective cold. You can just put grab the peice with anything and handle it with your hands. It is expensive which is why I try and cram my work into batches. Wouldn't like to go back to acid as I don't have to worry about who's around with this stuff.

works but expensive

Works surprisingly well. You don't get very much of it for your money though. The baggy is about the same size as a hula hoop crisp packet.

Great for Silver

Just a simple review here. If you are using this for sterling silver it is great for cleaning of after soldering, if you have time to leave in the solution over night it works a treat. When you add the pickle make sure the waters very warm. I would NOT recommend for use of brass as it definitely leaves pink staining more so than regular pickle which just makes it harder to clean and polish. Can not comment on gold as have not used with it.

INEFFECTIVE, not a patch on the old stuff.

A brand new solution, in a hot pickle pot struggled to even remove normal scale and borax after soldering. So after several uses, I'm totally unimpressed. Not a patch on the old safety pickle. The old stuff used to dissolve my work wear, it was pretty corrosive, which is what I want from an acid. This new pickle is just Citric acid as in lemons. Hence why it's food grade material, and hence why its useless. if you want to go green, buy lemon juice.Lots of people think its a great green idea, but have they actually used itWheres the original stuff gone

good to have a greener product

I love using this - it is similar to Alum. It dissolves stuck drill bits, so very handy. There is some pink staining sometimes, like with safety pickle, but on the whole my choice of product. I do add more than recommended as waiting is sometimes not time I have. Very happy to have switched.......... now, can you do something about the price Going green shouldnt have to cost the earth

Finally

I LOVE this. My workshop tends to be my kitchen, and with food and two small children around, pickle wasnt really an option. I was limited to fine silver or the occasional mix of vinegar and salt. This has revolutionised my jewellery making life. It works just as well as long as its warm as any other pickle Ive used in real jewellery workshops.
