    Just thought I would share my latest revelation, after more years than I care to mention I thought Hairdresser's held their scissors with the thumb and middle finger
    well I was incorrect they use the thumb and ring finger.

    Not everybody knows this. They also get tips which gives rise to envy from jewellers. Dennis.

    Does it not depend on how poseur or as we say in Scotland posey they are Bob. That would require the stance of the elbow in the air, hip out and all the other poses to go with it

    Caroline, it was a surprise to me but that is how they teach them, only supposed to move the thumb, they did not mention the other bits to go with it,I will ask next time, she will see the funny side

    There is definitely something about holding scissors in that way that creates a bit of a body change in some of the hairdressers I’ve had

    Yep I agree some of them make a real dance out of it
