    Default Summer Holidays

Did anyone do anything interesting over the holidays???

I took the opportunity to do a bit of travelling, loved it especially Paris. Also did a bit of research as I'm relatively new to this. Loved the summer but more than ready to get started now!

So how has everybody spent their summers then?

Hm, quiet really as I had my main holiday in April this year - visited my bro's family in California.

Summer's really been spent learning the chain maille techniques, discovering sterling silver and this forum

    Holiday, what holiday?

I took three days off in June over my birthday (admittedly lovely - middle of the heat wave), and four in the first week of September to join on to the bank holiday - I seem to have ended up spending a large fraction of that on trains, though... And there was a funeral in the middle of it, which wasn't ideal!

Whyyyy do only students get proper holidays!

I'll have two weeks over Christmas, when I'll be off oop North with my boyfriend to stay with his family and stay with mine too on the way back. That should be nice

I'm hopefully getting my summer holiday from Saturday. We postponed it because my husband was out of work in April and May and wasn't even paid for March, so it's been a frugal year.

We can't actually afford to go, but I think the cost of cancelling again, after recent times (the resulting legal battle, ill health etc.) would come at an even higher price. Luckily we won't need much spending money, just the odd ice cream or nice bread for lunch, so we'll figure something out and I don't need to pay for the accommodation until we leave, so we might have won the lottery by then.
