Default Seaglass and copper transformable piece

    Hi folks, greetings from Vanuatu!

I have only just started learning to make jewellery, and I’m having so much fun figuring out how to make pieces out of the material I can find here on the island. I especially enjoy making pieces that can be worn multiple ways, and I’ve attached some photos of a design I’m working with.

I’d love some feedback on the piece, and any ideas folks might have on how to improve!

    Best,
    Freshwind

    Hi Freshwind
An interesting use of materials. I take it this is the sea glass in the title? Do you get other colours?
With something that large I would wear it much longer, I find the middle one a bit big even for that but I can see the other two on a longer cord. They look quite tactile so I would want them at a length I could fiddle with them!

It's alright for you sporty types who go around in singlets on a lovely island.

Here in London, winter is only just over and we are wondering whether to take off our anoraks, so that kind of jewellery would not be appropriate.

We have recently had an Oceania exhibition at the Royal Academy of Arts, there has bee a programme about it on television, and the college I attend will shortly have an exhibition of work, including jewellery, inspired by the islands.
Your pieces would fit in well there.

    Welcome to the forum. Dennis.

I like it a lot, the design is interesting as well, but it would be better if you make the length a little bit longer.
    Good job, keep on going!
