Default Air compressor for Lindsay Airgraver

    Seasons Greetings!

I understand that the Lindsay Airgraver doesn't require as much air to power it compared to the engraving systems that use a control box (GRS, En-Set) and so I would be most grateful if any UK users of the Lindsay Airgraver system could please recommend a suitable brand of small air compressor that I could buy in the UK to work with it.

I use an older one of these - https://www.air-compressorsdirect.co...ompressor-1999
That said, I run other things off it - the capacity of that is way over what the Airgraver actually needs.
There are alternative air sources too - you can run it off a paintball cylinder with Steve's regulator (if you can refill them), CO2 cylinders (v. portable, but gets spendy fast), dive cylinders (need additional regulators to get the pressure down) and I've even heard of someone using an inflated tyre as an air source.

Many thanks for this information, Peter.

If I was only going to use the air compressor to run the Airgraver alone, do you think something like this would work?

You can run an Airgraver by blowing into it... Not the best idea, as it puts lots of moisture in but it sort-of works.
Flow rate on that should be plenty, just don't try to run much else at the same time!
(And if at all possible, go for the Palmcontrol!)

If you've any doubts, do ask Steve directly.
And when you've got the Airgraver, show it off here
My wee brother twisted my arm to get one with a burl handle - he was right.
