    Default gold leaf chain

I was talking to the man at Just Castings today who does my gold plating and he said that I should consider buying gold leaf chain instead of plating my silver chains. I can't find anything online about gold "leaf" chain, does anyone know what he meant?

    Thank you!

At a guess, vermeil? Taken at face value, nobody is going to gild a chain...

Yes, that's what you are after. The choice is rather limited in UK, but much more expensive to import frm USA.
Here is a UK offering, but there are probably more if you search, for instance Etsy. Otherwise it's Rio Grande, or Fire Mountain etc:

Take care if importing, because in addition to freight and duty, you will be hit with a handling charge by the carrier. Dennis.

I have some yellow and rose gold vermeil chain, available by the 30cm and finished.
Importing from USA not a good plan without research as some American companies put a layer of nickel on the silver before the gold and this would fail EU rules. As a general rule American findings aren't safe because they have no content rules.
Freight, duty and VAT and a tenner or more by the carrier as their customs clearance fee
