    Default Cutting Cones

I've been thinking about getting some cutting cones for my barrel polisher, but do they provide an even all over finish or would it miss areas around bezel settings as my shot did before adding the magic pins recommended by George?

I don't know if they work the same way as a ceramic medium, but if so, then I suspect they'd be good for flat pieces, but not good on detail - I think they're quite large compared to shot.

Is it to get a matte but not brushed finish?

    Thanks George,

I was hoping for an interesting textured matte finish, I mainly polish to a mirror finish and wanted to try something different, but was trying to avoid texturing with the pendant drill as it is a bit of a messy task and I look a bit of a divvy with my balaclava and hubby's motorbike goggles to protect myself from all the flying debris !!
