Default How to construct studs with ring

Hi, my first go making soldered stud earrings. Want to add jump rings to these slighlty concave stud faces. Can i just solder the rings abutted to the side? Or is it best to overlap them on the backs? Used .5mm thick metal. Should have gone thicker but never mind. S
Ps forgot to mention the jump rings are to hang a couple of biolettes off.

I do that with rings. If I’m soldering wires I’ve done it all ways soldered to top , on the back and even made a feature of as a wee tongue on the front of my fold forms
Having said that as the metal is quite thin I might be more likely to solder to the back otherwise rings soldered to the top is no problem at all
