    Default storage of gas cylinders

    Just wondering where people keep their tanks.
    I know gas suppliers recommend outdoor storage but I've kept a 3.9 kg propane tank
    in my well ventilated space for 20 = years with no probs.
    I ask as I want to get a spare as back up but the only one I saw at the local tip was 7kg.
    I'm not sure why but this has left me, as I say, wondering...

    I have my 9 kg LPG plus the D oxygen tank next to my soldering bench, they are easy to access to shut them on and off

    I do the same as China but ALWAYS turn them off as soon as I finish using them even if I am going to use them again very soon.
