Should i buy this? Fallen in love with the shape think it would make a great ring. Should i squirrel this away for when i've learnt to set a stone?https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/3850...f=user_profile

Way over-priced in my opinion, you can get 5 here for less: https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/2009...?ref=related-2
Or squirrel the idea away until A E Wards have some stock of them in, they have Amethyst and Garnet in stock, if it's the shape rather than the specific stone that attracts.

that's what I wondered, thanks paul, not very up on what things are worth yet, will check out your link
You might want to keep an eye on Rich Dover’s website Sheena. He has some lovely stones and he’s really helpful. I wouldn’t imagine you’re on FB but he has a closed group so you also get the heads up on incoming stock or piece he is working on

Your precious gems is on Instagram I would normally have bought from Marcia Lanyon but she closed down her main business recently and she still does selling events around the country but everything has to be done by phone
This company is in Edinburgh and I use them sometimes http://www.thecuriousgem.co.uk/loose-gemstones.html
