Not jewellery, but this was a stag I made for an antique restoration job a while back, I modelled the stag's body in two halves using pierced and hammered copper shapes and then adding the modelling wax for the body shapes, then after having the two halves cast in silver, I soldered them together and hand chased a fur textured over the stag's body. I made the antlers from silver wire and soldered them in place.

James, your work is always spectacular. However, I am particularly fond of the stag

Eagle ray necklace and bracelet in silver set with about a zillion CZs and tourmaline on the body.
This was when I learned how absolutely wonderful calibrated stones are to set- the CZs were all exactly the same size and it took about as long to set the handful of Tourmaline ( which weren't) as it did all the CZs.

    Morning,

We are now over halfway through this month's themed competition and have had some great animal themed entries so far.

    Best of luck to everyone!

Squirrel has been a nickname for a very long time and so I’ve made myself a squirrel necklace. Bail & loop made from silver wire and carefully shaped so that it hangs just right on my favourite chain, squirrel cut from copper sheet. I wanted to keep the fire patina for red squirrel colouring so I’ve had to polish the silver by hand rather than pickling the finished piece.

Here's my entry, a fine silver peacock brooch made out of PMC3 with purple and light green cubic circonia
I made each feather separately and joined them all together to form this intricate design.
