Default Temporary adhesive for sterling silver sheet while sawing matching shapes

What glue/paste/sticky substance do people prefer/have success with, for temporarily sticking sterling silver sheet face-to-face, in order to saw matching shapes?

    I use Elmer's rubber cement - I'm a bit scared of superglue!

Super glue is great just don't get it on your fingers ( keep a bottle of Acetone handy )

A release gel for superglue is available. Better than heating and releasing who knows what into the air.

How does the release gel penetrate between the 2 sheets of silver, there's going to be a very close bond between them?

All glues work by creating a vacuum. when you apply the release the glue becomes gel like again and air can get in. Glue merely makes the vacuum more durable
Think of two stacked and well-stuck glasses.
