    Default Thinking Outside the Box.

The doors in our flat are fire doors. They re on strong springs and close with a bang.
They would drive us mad if we did not wedge some of them open when we are in.

The problem has been that traditional wedges which are applied to the side soon become slippery and give way. Presumably this has gone on for hundreds, if not thousands of years.

The Jamm Wedges from amazon are applied to the ends of doors. They are grooved to keep them in line and hopefully make this problem go away.

Thinking Outside the Box. Do you have an example? Dennis.

Presumably, they are fire doors for a reason? Perhaps to help preserve not only your lives, but the lives of other residents in the other flats if a fire occurs? By wedging them open when you are in may put you in a box you'll never have the chance to think outside of. Just my initial thoughts on your example.
