    Default another hallmarking question

    Hi All,
    Can anyone tel me if you send pairs of earnings for hallmarking are they charged as a pair or each as a single item ?

    It would be more cost effective to send them in with a lot of other stuff as the minimum price is a killer. As they are treated as 2 items it’s easier to do that if you have a few pairs of earrings in the batch

    Hi Caroline,
    Yes I usually take multiple items in a batch but I've only taken rings before so I wasn't sure how a mixed batch (ring and earrings) would be costed I,m fortunate in that I only live about 15 mins from Sheffield assay office so I can take and collect to avoid the postage charges !     That’s handy I send my husband on the 80 mile round trip to Edinburgh usually because I’ve left it too late but also because I don’t trust the post. I got caught out last time by not noticing the minimum charge had gone up and not having many earrings so the package wasn’t as cost effective and I ended up paying £25 anyway. Note to self to pay more attention to their emails!
