Default How to use graphite moulds?

I'm interested in using the small graphite moulds to melt some silver into bars. Does anyone have any instructions? Does the mould need to be prepared first? Can you melt the silver directly in the mould, or does it have to be melted in a crucible and poured in? I've googled this and looked on the forum, but can't find anything yet. Just wondered in anyone on here used them.
    Thank you.

I haven't done it Susie, but as far as I'm aware, you melt the metal in a scorifier, using borax and a big flame, pour into the mould and allow to cool.

As Dennis says, scorifier rather than direct heat.

https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=silver+graphite+molds gives a number of relevant videos showing the process.
