I work mostly with wire and beads, and my earrings all hang off the long hook ear wires.
I've had a few requests for smaller earrings, and want to hang things off posts instead (e.g. Cookson prod code NVJ 033X) but would rather make my own than buy them. So far all I've come up with is an eyepin, but that doesn't look great.

Any suggestions? I have no soldering equipment, so I can't make them that way unfortunately

this might not be ideal because this is just the first idea i thought of but how about something like this:


wirescale and beadsize are very off but you get the general idea right? this way you can make the earpost match the earring that little bit better too

I've found a solution!

It's not quite what you suggested Dano, but your little pic inspired it!

I didn't want to glue anything on because I don't really trust glue on jewellery, so I put a small spiral of wire in front of the loop instead of the bead.

I had a bit more of a play with spirals and came up with something that sits flush against your ear. The loop behind the spiral before made the whole thing stick out too far.
