Default cleaning steel and brass dremel brushes

is there any way to clean these attachments for the dremel? Ive tried hot soapy water and thinners but no success. I can't use all these brushes now as they are so filthy they make everything I'm working on black! Thanks

I run mine on a sheet of stiff paper to clean although if you actually use them over LOS then I wouldn't reuse on clean silver afterwards.

One thing to remember is that metal brushes should not be used dry, or they will pick up and transfer metal.

They should be lubricated with a drip of soapy water, or repeatedly dipped into it. You will also discover the joys of freckles, unless you do it in a clear plastic container with hand holes. Dennis
