Question Getting a mirror finish with pendant motor?

I've been using a tumbler for the final polish and now I am trying to achieve a mirror finish on some small flat 925 pendants using my pendant motor. I am using a wool mop with luxi red. No matter how hard I try I can't seem to avoid leaving fine scuff marks. The pieces look great and have a mirror finish but on close inspection there are visible lines. Could this be an indication that I'm not using enough polish? Am I pressing too hard, not hard enough? I appreciate any tips/advice on how I can improve my technique.

    Thanks again in advance!

    It can indicate that:
You are pressing too hard and not moving your mop around enough.
That your mop is contaminated with a coarser polish, or is too heavily loaded with compound.
Or that it is too small.

However for perfectly flat pieces there is nothing better than applying compound to a lint free cotton cloth, or using high grades of Micromesh sheet, flat on the bench and rubbing your piece on that.
    Dennis.

I noticed these pendants on eBay and the finish on them is about the standard I can achieve. Actually, I think my finish is better. Am I being too critical of my own work? How would you rate this finish and what more, if anything, can be done to improve it?

I use ever flex rubber burrs , the 520s are good for a flat surface.

Once you have the metal polished through the grades to green ( final grade) then I use Luxi polish to finish.
I wouldn't personally be rating myself compared to Ebay items as its hardly the gold standard but to be fair it does also depend how its photographed.
The attached photo is a mirror finish Im happy with, others have higher standards than me though, in fact in the old days polishing was a one person 5 year apprentice specialised job I believe...Click image for larger version.

Those hearts are far from what you'd achieve with Micro mesh sheets. To call it a finish is a contradiction in terms.

You could powder your nose looking in Sarahs ring. Dennis.

    I'm with Dennis that isn't a finish!
I don't use a pendant for polishing but this is what I would expect from a bench polisher for high finish

Thanks everyone. I'll try to take some good close-ups of the polish I achieve as I need professional critique!

@caroline and @enigma, your work is beautiful. A real inspiration. Thanks.

Hall of mirrors, no doubt about it. Dennis.
