Me too, found it fascinating. Just wish it had been longer. Wonder how much that pendant went for?!

Sounds interesting, unfortunately it seems to be UK only

One question immediately sprang to mind with all the workshops seen - where are the next generation of apprentices?

(That and "I'd do all of that - bar hallmarking - myself", but some of us are stupid that way)

This was the staff at Gerald Benney's workshop back in the 1970s, 6 of them used to work at the same company where I was apprenticed, Padgett & Braham / Wakely & Wheeler, 3 of them were apprentices when I knew them.
Fifth from the right is Alan Evans, who was on last nights show.

Not these days, we used to meet up at the Goldsmiths Company Freeman's annual parties, but I stopped attending them when I retired. Referring back to the TV program the engraver Steve Munroe has worked on a few of my jobs in the past, I have known Steve since he was an apprentice also. This was one of his engravings on a 32 inch tall silver plaque I made in the past.
