    Default Out of Africa.

In the autumn I was asked for some elephant themed jewellery. So for a start here is my elephant pendant, pierced from two 2.0mm pieces of sheet, and then carved with burrs and sweated together. This made it easier to separate the legs. The ears and tail were added later.

Being quite chunky, I have given it a long rope chain with homemade ends and added a hook fastener and some Figaro chain at the back, for adjustment.

As usual, I have finished the end with a double sided charm, this time to represent acacia twigs, the thorny diet which elephants seem to enjoy.

Size of elephant approx. 30 x 30 mm
Prince of Wales chain 1.8mm dia. Total length with extension 700mm
    Dia. Of charm 18mm.

Wowee! Interesting to read how you did it. You must be very skilled at controling the burrs, no oops moments as you accidently shear off something important
