It may not be how you wanted it to come out but there is certainly nothing wrong with it

Thank you both, in truth it does look a bit better now, I'd fiddled around with it a bit later on. The outside edge was supposed to look like feathers but ended up looking more like a pie crust (haha) so when I got home I emeryed it back as much as I dared and then rounded out the hard edges as best I could with a doming punch
