Starting the roll balling with a pair of earrings I was asked to make last week which fits the theme nicely - my first ever commission so it was an interesting experience!

This is a prototype pair I made and which I have been wearing myself to road test and make sure they were comfortable. The actual ones have slightly different ear wires as I needed to incorporate purple beads into the design.

The client was very happy with her earrings, but for myself I was disappointed that despite going through the various grades of micro mesh, even after 12000 grade there were very fine hairline scratches still visible on the surface. Is a truly scratch-free surface really possible, and if so what am I doing wrong?

they are great - Scratch free is possible with polishing. But having said that, the moment silver is in the box and out, put down somewhere, picked up again, it will become scratched.

my cat hanging from a broomstick so compliments the witch on her stick! lol Handmade from silver sheet and wire. I have gone for the rustic look as that seemed to fit the darker theme I wanted.

That's lovely Wallace. I do so enjoy your attention to detail and the bird's head on the end of the broomstick finishes it off perfectly.

    Hi everyone!
I've been working on a necklace for a creepy-crawly themed Halloween party.

it is made from 0.1mm, 0.3mm, 0.6mm, 0.8mm and 1.5mm wire, mostly coloured copper or silver coated copper, although the 0.1 mm wire is just silver. Although I normally dislike spiders, I quite like how this one has turned out, and actually find the fly somewhat more creepy than the spider.

Also- I've been having problems uploading photos- There were others I wanted to upload that better show the necklace but the website wouldn't let me upload them and I don't know why. I also don't know why the middle Image here appears upside-down. Any help with this would be appreciated.

    Hi all

The witching hour approaches...this is your last chance to enter if you haven't submitted your Halloween themed design yet!

October's competition must come to an end on the spookiest day of the year (31st October in case you haven't guessed already!), so make sure you enter your design before it's too late.

    Good luck!

As a former goth, Halloween is my favourite holiday, but I haven't had time to make anything this month, booooo.

Love the entries - Wallace your cat and broom necklace is just wonderful!
