Default Silver chainmaile jewellery do I need to hallmark?

Hi everyone I just wondered if anyone knows whether a chainmaile bracelet which is over the 7.2g weight limit for hallmarking needs to be hallmarked legally.?It is made up of bought silver jump rings and the combined weight is well over 7.2g. If so where would the assay office hallmark it as the jump rings are small?

The limit is 7.78g and yes, it would need to be if over that. There's a couple of options on marking - is there room on the clasp, can you fit a tag to it that can be hallmarked, are the rings large enough to take a hallmark?
