Loads, but not always relevant... What sort of thing are you after? The finer your wax is finished, the easier casting cleanup will be, for example?
There's some useful bits here -

Recognising you're quite new at the forum, hopefully I won't cause offence - I recommend you start a new thread and post some images!

I cast this charm with 2 sprues so I didnt have to solder anything up next level lazyness lol

After pin polishing still needs polishing and sprues fully removing but it worked
I've been looking very closely at your bee! The end result - is the jump ring that is attached to the bee fused in place to the next jump ring?

Nope. Top 2 jump rings are joined to each other, next one down is only attached to the bee (and was attached to the sprue). Cut the sprues off & no messing around soldering anything.
    Very cunning.

Two questions from me then, Sandra:

Counting from the top, how do you separate rings two and three when investing, to keep them from joining up?
How do you attach your chain, so that the pendant faces front?

    I'm obviously missing something. Dennis.

Hi Dennis its for a charm bracelet like a Pandora or troll bracelet for example so its facing the correct way. the two links are on different spures they do not touch but the sprues hold them in position so when invested they are still separate.

The red bits are the link the blue bits are the sprues (not set up ideally for casting but shows it better)

Interesting - thank you for the diagram Josef! I wasn't aware it could be done that way!
